This collaborative achievement stems from Rodney鈥檚 engagement with transformative learning and creativity. In 2022, she co-presented with Dr. Yin Lam Lee-Johnson, Director of the EdD program, during Webster Geneva鈥檚 Creativity Week. Their presentation served as the foundation for their co-authored book chapter,鈥淧ushing the Boundaries of White Colonial Epistemologies to Create Transformative Learning Experiences.鈥 Rodney also co-authored the introduction chapter with her co-editors of the book. Dr. Vlad Glaveanu, a key convener of Creativity Week and the editor of Palgrave Macmillan鈥檚 book series, cultivated the new publication in collaboration with Rodney and her co-editors.

鈥淎s an emerging scholar, the editorial process provided an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with peers and seasoned academics, exploring the transformative nature of creativity in depth,鈥 Rodney said. 鈥淭his immersive scholarly experience transcended the boundaries of the classroom, embodying the essence of interdisciplinary and global learning. Pursuing 黑料网's EdD in Transformative Learning in the Global Community has been a truly transformative journey, enriched by diverse experiences that reflect the program's global ethos.鈥

Lee-Johnson praised Rodney鈥檚 academic accomplishments, stating, 鈥淚 am very proud of Tamara Rodney鈥檚 achievements as a doctoral student. Tamara brings extensive teaching experience as a high school English teacher and adjunct faculty member at Webster. She has also presented at esteemed conferences such as the American Educational Research Association鈥檚 annual meeting in 2024 and the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate鈥檚 Annual Convening in 2023. It is deeply rewarding to see how our EdD students excel in highly respected academic venues for both publications and presentations.鈥

黑料网鈥檚 Doctor of Education program continues to empower educators and leaders in transformative learning. Applications are now open for Fall 2025, with a deadline of July 1, 2025. For more information, visit our website or contact Admission Officer Natasha McCallister.
